The goodies of the past 2 wks

Hey Y'all!!!

=D The past 2 week has beeen CRAY CRAYYYY...
My finals are up so I've been working on that and it's been driving me insane...
Currently should be working on my final today as well....because

badam badam..
badam
This Sunday I am excited to announce that I shall be going to sunshin and rainbow weather surrounded by my favourite PALM TREES (something we don't have here in Canada)...

-fyi: I found out Korea has palm trees toO! (jeju island...most southernly area of Korea...but I've never been there..one can dream ;) one day.!)

Anyways =D!! So...for the most bit I've been camping out on my computer all week typing away (I felt like those K-drama script writers..always on the computer..) and I've ALMOST completed one of my papers...and the last thing I wanted was to prelong my computer stays...so I haven't really been on the BLOG..

Nevertheless =) here I am today. Lately it has been snowing very lightly at night (usually when I sleep. I wake up and there is snow on the car or ground) -->

Here you can see on my windshield there is an accumulation of snow..
It looks like a sunny day but actually we've been getting terribly cloudy weather lately...
This was taken last Saturday on my way to tutoring =)

Here's another view:
This is on a different day..
I must have been going for massage or something..

Other than that, my mom and my brother's bday is at the end of November so last week we went out to this place called Gayageum. Korean restaurant..pretty good.
Normally they give you this pumpkin jook as an appetizer (congee) but they were SUPER busy we unfortunately did not get any..there were literally 3 servers -___- (cheaping out on the workers) on the floor and luckily we didn't wait very long but man was it buzzing about.

I didn't get a picture of the restaurant itself but it has a nice traditional theme to it..The name of the restaurant actually means this traditional korean musical instrument (kinda like a guitar but you play it on the floor) its a string instrument..kinda makes a twang sound..slightly annoying LOL...
the inside decor is not with the edges of the ceiling outlined with traditional roofs of Korean houses..

I did get the pictures of food though (with many comments from my family of why I take pictures of food :s ) Here is the gist:
My moms hand on the side dishes..many Korean restaurants give you side dishes (aka appetizers) to start your food off. YUM!!

My brother ordered this sushi dish (that my mom complained of being way overpriced ;).) for those sushi lovers...you may have enjoyed it.

Then we've got this dish called Ssam. Basically its steamed pork with slightly steamed cabbage (to soften it up) and this red pepper raddish thing....and you put everything inside and wrap it with a cabbage aka ssam.

The ssam dish came with a side of bean paste soup (has tofu, zucchini onions etc in a soup base of bean paste or miso type of soup but spicier)

This ..don't order this unless you are a fan of spice..it's WAY too spicy and everyone literally was gonna die..it's chicken but enveloped in this spicy sauce that kills all flavour!!!

We came home and celebrated with my mom's favourite sweet potato cake! It's very smooth.

So...after being with Rogers for almost 9 years (I've never been with another company) I decided to call it quits when I realized that Rogers suck...I have had the worst experience with their customer service (one time a customer service lady laughed at me for telling her that they overcharged me...couple dollars but as a student I need all the money I can get...and another time I had another lady hang up on me when I told her I wanted to quit Rogers...great service guys..but I guess being with them this long I wouldve faced some bad reps out there..everyone has them afterall..
but I'm paying wayyy too much for the terrible service and terrible plans...so with a $200 penalty fee I quit (apparently with any phone service you need to give them 30 days notice..didn't know!) so by January 1 I will officially lose my # and start afresh..which brings me to KOODO.
Koodo is a company founded by Telus (Roger's rival) which is great because it has cheaper plans but great reception as they use the same network as Telus..there are lots of better plans but the network isn't as good and lots of dropped calls have been occurring (e.g- the newer ones like WIND or MOBILICITY) They have amazing deals though and SUPER cheap...plus and minus...

But with KOOdo. I am thinking of getting their Holiday plan with $30 . I need data to text with my BF (who so have left me to go study and pursue his dreams for an unknown amount of time =*( ...) but because I have a blackberry it doesn't use a lot of data which is great! 200mb is more than enough! And I have been dying without call display because whenever I miss a call I can never call them back..and the awkward moment when you are exchanging #s and they say 'oh ok I've got ur #. I'll call you so u can get my #"...."umm..sorry I don't have callers display..can u just tell me?" lol -_-;;

So they expire December 31 so I'll have an overlap of two activated simcards for a few days which is perfectly fine =)!

On the way back from questioning Koodo phones I came across KERNELS! I used to NEVER get kernels..i think I got it like 2wice in my entire life before I met my boyfriend..but apparently he used to get em everytime his family went shopping at malls as a child...(spoiled lol) so ever since then I've been getting em very occasionally with him...but this is my FIRST time getting it by myself

I had to get two bags cus it's buy one medium/large and get second half off...so I ended up paying around $9? So each bag (medium) is worth about $4.50..not bad considering they stuff it to the top =)

Here are the two flavours I got. White cheese and Jalapeno =)
White cheese is my bf's favourite ;) I know he'll be missing these in Grenada
Muhahahha.
He always make me jealous of his snacks cus he's always munching whenever I facetime him so he can miss the foods here -U- muHahHAHAHAH

In addition, after service on Sundays my church usually hands out snacks (mostly bagels) but occasionally they have these special days where they come out surprising everyone with amazing foods!
Yesterday was my all-time favourite!
It came out in this bento-box style with rice, kimchi, potato pancake things, some vegetable and marinated beef aka bulgogi...they also had the same thing with marinated mackarol (sp?) fish instead of beef. Those are my bf's favourite Korean marinated fish =) I thought of you!

Then my mom came home and there was this new dish ..i forget what it is called..but basically it's liek a snack...This below is actually rice but covered with this spicy/sweet sauce..the rice is cooked hard on a pan so it's crunchy liek a snack..then covered in this sauce..to me it tastes exactly like this Korean marinated chicken called 'Kanpoongki' except it was rice..lol interesting dish..even my mom's never seen it before!

Today's journey consisted of basically an errand by my mother..
She told me to go to this warehouse sale (cosmetics) called 'Lisa's Cosmetics' to get her this thing..

And when I told her I needed to go study she yelled at me -__-;;; So hating driving I went
slightly glad I went ...although she made me went and made me spend $70+tax on her
(I shall give this to her for her christmas)

It's this Elizabeth Arden thing...It consists of serums and creams and all those anti-wrinkle stuff...
Costed me a good hole in my plastic card

Here is the link if you would liek to go:

(I wanted the smashbox primer...but it was sold out..seems liek I'll have to buy it in the States..Canada is WAYYY too expesnive $40-$50+ 13% tax for a 30ml primer?!!)
and there were two ladies working there and one of the girls flat-out lied to my face and said they never sold it when I questioned how much they sold it for...I walked up to another girl and she showed me the tester they used -they put it away  now cus its sold out..and she was super friendly and told me they sold it for $20...darn..they are selling the cheapest smashbox primer but its still on the market for about $40 at Sephora...)

Then since I'm there I went along and looked around for myself =)
I ended up getting this Venus box kit (which on the left that cardboard box??
OMG IMPOSSIBLE to pry open! I ended up ripping the box apart..
It's super customer unfriendly...I worry for myself when I get old and have no strength to open such things...=( I used all my strength to pry that thing apart!
There were a bunch of shavers but I went with this cus I needed a shave gel and it comes with a mini one which is perfect..the big ones I feel start rusting before I finish using it so..

In the box it came with a razor (2 shavers), this random case for the mouth, shave gel and a sample lotion =) not bad! I also got one for my friend Tween which I shall give as part of her Xmas gift.
One can never have enough! Since she's a picky present-giver and I KNOW she uses this brand I'll give it to her..she'll eventually use it even if she already has one..and it comes in a pretty purple box =)

My next purchase was grande. I've been looking for a spray-toner for the longest time.
I've bought Evian before..that's more or less just water in a bottle. So this is an actual toner which is great..I recently bought an Aveeno one (if you need far right in the back of the picture) and I kinda wanna return it now cus its not a spray and it's difficult to control the amount you want out...but I've used it so I'll just finish it..Drugstores don't sell the spray kind so when I saw this I was super happy! H2O...I also bought an eye cream since I'm nearing quarter of a century I need to start taking care of my eyes before they bare the signs of wrinkles and such

I was super happy to find this Elizabeth Arden Mascara! You can what it looks like on the package and the actualy mascara. I bought one a while ago and after a while it starts drying out and then clumps when it gets old so I had to stop using it...Ive been trying out different mascaras and I think this is the best one yet. So i bought another one..i think it was around $20?

Ive been trying out a ton of different mascaras (i know waste of $$ eh? can't help it! I have short eyelashes --+)...So these are some of the ones I own...
The top 2 (Estee Lauder) I actually havent tried yet cus I still am using all the other ones.. I shall review those two later when I use it

The Covergirl is from Drugstore (probably Walmart? or something) I stopped using it a while ago...I actually foget why..but it mustve been cus I didn't like it LOL

Lately, I've been using the MAC extreme black...It's the best out of the four..the slight problem is that it tends to clump up at the top and end of the brush so I am always wiping it before I put it on my lashes..otherwise it gets chunky at certain parts...

The Clinique was good because it evens out the lashes and coats nicely..but the problem was that it smudges...it gets over my eyelids...which kinda sucked...

the Benefit BAD gal lash isn't really my favourite brush either...it comes in this chunky brush and it also smudges which sucks...I actually got it in a packge of the sampler Benefit package...comes with a eye primer and luminizer which I love and use almost everyday..(but the mascara isn't my fav)..

One the way back home I was super proud of myself because the place is actually near Woodbine/hwy7...

On my google map (on the phone) it said First Market Place! on the way home so I dropped by and stopped to buy some late lunch (I was STARVING..I had to wait 20 minutes for the washroom =( I had to pee so bad and there was only one washroom!! and I got a compliment by an elderly lady who said 'Good for you girl!" when people before me were complaining the washroom didn't flush..I came out and told them you have to hold it down until the entire thing flushes ;) and I felt happy when an elderly woman compliments me LOL i have ACCOMPLISHED! anyways..by the time I got out it was around 3pm STARVINGGGG So i dropped by first market place (got lost inside =*( but eventually found myself to the foodcourt) SUPER proud of myself to go by myself to first market place and buy food since bf has left me to fend for myself!!

$5.50+tax for instant noodle with pork and egg alongside with hongkong tea =D
YUM! the hktea was a bit strong but it was warm and yummy...NOW

I need to go and do my assignmnet that's due wednesday...
then I need to finish packing for FLORIDA!!!
oh warmth how I miss you..my hands are freezing as I type this..
and then I also need to finish my paper ....
-____-

wish me luck!!

HERE I GO WORLD!!

A journey's end yet.

And a great evening to you too...

lately the mr.sun has been going down uber fast (around 4ish..) so it's been feeling like night comes a lot sooner than you think!

Today I went to get another massage...calculated my costs and in order to take advantage of my insurance and use it to full capacity I have calculate my costs of the massages...so until its expiration date aka Dec 31..I need to continue to take 2 massage/week (awesome!) that includes increasing the time from 1hr (50 mins) to 1.3hrs (80min). It all comes down to seven 80minute massages, 3 hot stone massages and 2 foot exfoliation =D! eh eh eh??
Seems like a plan.. ;) Next Friday I will be recieving my very first hot stone massage!! Let's see how it goes!

*Note: Today I found out NEVER to eat right before a massage. I slightly fibbed and said I ate half an hr ago when really it was more like...10-15 minutes ago LOL...I just thought not to ask them to massage my tummy (very rarely they do..but still) but when they massage (i didn't think atm but..) it presses against your tummy that is trying to digest..and because your a bit fuller ur stomache is like very uncomfortable!! yuck!! No one told me this..-_-;;;that is terrible..

And..I made the mistake of..(as I always do when I'm stressed and swamped with finals) going to massage yesterday when it really was booked TODAY...-_-;;;omg. I went yesterday and felt like a fool (good thing the same receptionist wasn't there..i pretended like I heard it was friday when really...even my agenda I wrote down it was saturday!!!)

A similar situation arose couple months ago during midterm season when I was working on my presentation and ended up going to the presentation class rather than my other class ...which btw is across campus and took another precious 10 minutes to walk back! See what happens when you've got things on occupying in your brain???

ANYWAYS...before I continue I want to quickly share a recipe with you that is SUPER easy to fix up. The prep is very little and it tastes fabulous! Using any leftover meat..It all starts with:
It's on the left (BASIL PESTO)...the sun-dried is ok too but I feel it's a bit too strong of a flavour..like almost to the point of saltiness...

1. Boil water (this you can leave unattended and do your thing...but don't forget once in a while you need to stir) <--this is the most time consuming
2.Take the leftover meat (I used chicken..it's from last night's dinner where I basically marinated with soysauce, honey, garlic and olive oil) and shred them
3. Take vegetables and chop and stir-fry. If you don't have time you don't need to add anything
4. Add cooked noodles and chicken to stir-fried vegetables..MIX in 2 spoonfuls of basil pesto.

You do not need to cook the basil pesto..The heat to cook vegetables in I threw the petso and just tossed it to coat everything..turns out like this:

CLose-up..I put mushrooms and onions for vegetables.

It's super easy and it tastes amazing!!

I also wanted to share with you what I had as snack..Sometimes..

well everyday breakfast starts around 10...small piece of baked goods from Korean bakery or cereal or eggs etc.

Then around 1ish..I get hungry..this is where I eat lunch..cook whatever..

Then from 1-7 for some reason there is such a big gap where people do not eat and seem fine..is it just me? 10-1 vs. 1-7?? time gap is so much bigger!!

SO I usually eat either a snack and dinner or early dinner and snack after...

This is today's snack..a giant mug of green honey tea...and what I bought at Galleria aka Korean Supermarket...called CHOCO CRACKER!! It comes in this awesome neat box all pretty dolled up.
and then when I went to open it, there were these chocolate dipped cracker inside a small container!

My tea and snack

As you can see, it comes in this small container so while you eat it, you can take it out of the package and leave it on the table..its very pretty and more of a reason why I decided to share it with you.

Its pro is that only 3/4 of the section is covered in chocolate so you don't get chocolate all over your hands. It's a great snack to bring around your school, office etc. to munch on. It is only dipped on one side but the chocolate is rather a thick layer. I really enjoyed it...and the packaging really compliments the food...

So remember how I told you all I was going to visit the dentist and my optomotrist? Here is recap

My trip to the vision centre:

Using my $400 worth of insurance here is what I got came back with:
Extracting my goods before December arrives I recieved a bag full of goodies!! Wow!
The acuvue bag actually is quite sturdy so it's a nice bonus gift I take it.

Inside the bag of goodies...
Unfortunately my eyes did get a little worse...
Before both my eyes were -1.25..but now my right eye seems to have progressed .25 to -1.5
So having some leftover contacts with my old prescription she replaces the old ones too..that's why thers a mounful of them...It's actually 3 months worth of contacts (I use dailys - aka 2 days unless my eyes super irritating) plus whatever leftover I had from previous trip.

Plus I kept my old glasses but they gave me a new lens and tightened up the screws and changed my rusted nose piece for a new rubber one which is quite a service! And complimentary they provided 10 extra lenses and a glasses case + wiper! =D Always happy with little things they give me! WOOT!

My next trip was to my dentist..I was super scared..
1. It was a new dentist (switching dentists cus although the guy was friendly, he wasn't very gently and I don't think he did a very good job..and it was SUPER far..but I had been going to him since I was a kid)
2. I hate dentists
3. Couple weeks ago for the longest time my teeth had been sensitive which I had a hunch that I had a cavity

Great thing is, my dentist is very close! About a 5-10 minute drive! He was very friendly and spoke English to me (yay for my understanding) he gave me very funny stories of being a dentist which really broke the ice and he was very gentle!

I took all these bitewing xrays and everything. But apparently I don't have to file anything, the receptionist got my insurance right away and I recieve $3000/yr =D Pretty awesome. I'm sad the money goes to waste cus I'm not old enough where my teeth are rotting away.

He also explained many things..the fact that I have been getting a lot more cavities than I should be in the past is because I had braces in the past which makes it more prone for cavities. Also it apparently mades the gums recede more which is why I have been getting sensitive teeth in the lower region...so phew! it's not a cavity! He says it is usual for people who have had braces. He said he will give me sensitive toothpaste =)..When he was cleaning..he was very gentle which was always a concern from my other dentist..it used to REALLY hurt!

The greatest thing about him was that he explained everything he was doing..it wasn't all unknown..
He explained what each use of the tool and what he was going to do with it before he did it =) phew!

In the end I came back with another bag of goodies which is a great travel size! :

2 miniature sensitive toothpaste
one travel size floss
one 360 toothbrush (engrave with dentist's name)

Overall it seems I seem to have a good feeling about the dentist..
I must take great use of him during my insurance..
A little bit sad that I can't take full advantage of all the money available banked in my dental insurance!

ta ta for now~!

Enchilada twist~

This is a twist on Enchiladas recipe. I KEEP forgetting the name 'Enchilada' OMG

I got the inspiration from the youtube channel ShayTards where they put a twist of putting Cream of Mushroom instead of dry or tomato sauce =).. I think it's great. I mixed a bunch of online recipes and came up with mine that turned out very well and here is my share:

Serving approx:4 persons

Ingredients:
-Sour Cream (to dopple)
-Chili powder (to sprinkle)
-Feta Cheese (crushed)
-Marble Cheese (grated)
-Sour cream
-1 can of Cream of Mushroom soup
-Chicken Breast (or any chicken parts..I think chicken breast works the best)
-Bell peppers (I used orange for nice splash of colour - strips)
-2 small onions (minced)
-Cubanelle chili pepper (it's a mild - medium spicy) - I diced but it's not too spicy so you can do strips
-1 Jalapeno (mince very finely - make sure you toss out the seeds which are most spicy)
-Tortilla wraps (I cut mine in halves or you can get mini ones)

-Glass container to bake the goods

*if you would like to see the grade of each spicy pepper here's a link I found. THere are TONS:
http://www.chilipeppermadness.com/chili-pepper-types.html

Here you can see what brand I used. It really doesn't matter. I was actually tight on time and rushed to buy the ingredients. :s I think my feta cheese is kosher lol.

I used campbells and old elpaso chili powder.

1. I fried the chicken in olive oil until nicely cooked. You can even boil them for a softer touch. You can also add salt and pepper but is unnecessary with the amount of sauce that will go in. (while the chicken is cooking I chopped up all the vegetables as necessary - onion, bell peppers, Cubanelle chili pepper, jalapeno) Also grate lots and lots of marble cheese!
2. Once the chicken is cooked thoroughly pull of pieces of chicken so it's like 'pulled-pork' style. Mine had bones so I had to discard it.
3. After stir-fry the vegetables in olive oil and a couple minutes later, add pulled-chicken and dust on chili powder (don't use the entire batch otherwise it'll be too strong! I just used enough to coat it.

Like so...

Sorry I didn't have a before picture while I was cooking. It's hard to take pics while you're cooking when you're hand has touched all the food!

4. Take soft tortilla wraps and cut in half.
5. Spread a generous amount of sour cream on torilla and sprinkle in crushed feta and marble cheese. Add the vegetables and chicken mix and roll! (*note: don't use up all the marble cheese!)
6. Place rolled wraps in the glass jar. REPEAT until full....

Like so...
 7. Take your cream of mushroom soup (it says add half cup of milk and water) and heat...when it starts to simmer verge of boiling turn off. I cooled mine a teeny bit cus I didn't want it to be TOO hot.
8. POUR batch of cream of musroom sauce on top of the tortilla wraps and sprinkle the rest of your marble cheese on top. BAKE until cheese starts turning golden brown and teeny crispy on top. I threw mine in a toaster oven =).

TADAH!!!!!

I took one out to try.

Here is the one I took out to eat....

It is best to eat right when you cook this because after a while the cream of mushroom really soaks into the tortilla...unless you don't mind. I cut it in half to show you the insides of my food since I didn't take a picture of before it got wrapped in! Sorry.

I find this great because the chili powder, jalapeno and cubanelle chili pepper kinda makes everything spicy and strong flavoured. However, with the sourcream, cheeses (both types) and the cream of mushroom really balances it out nicely. =)

ENJOY!!

So...random add in

BUT...today in the mail my BBcreams came =) I will try each sample out and see which one works best for my skin =D I'm excited! Theyre all slightly different colour so we'll see...It's a korean brand I found called Skin79. I wanted to try an Asian brand rather than a white one (a lot of white companies are creating BBcreams lately) cus the make is slightly different...

It is smaller than I thought it would've been but apparently the mail cost is $8..and I paid $5 so I guess theyre losing out on the $$ so people would try them out n see if they like em. LOL..

Free shipping which is great. If you want to get one:

Tomorrow I have a dentist appointment and a Eye doctor appointment :s ..I KNOW I have a cavity so I'm scared xp..ACKK I hope I'll still be able to eat tomorrow!! I'm taking leftover of my enchiladas!

Happy Smiles!!

The blog of FOOD

WHAZZZZ up. THis is my THIRD blog today..feeling the remorse for neglecting my blog lately.

Here are random facts to get to know me:
-Korean (probably know)
-First year Master's Program
-Live in Toronto, Canada (specifically borderline on the Thornhill side)
-Have an older brother
-Am allergic to almost all outdoor stuff..especially birch..and CATS CATS are my most painful allergic memory
-Am a sucker for nail designs...whenever I get the time I try to work on my nails (check out my Halloween nails on the post 2wks ago) - I get super frustrated during but the payoff is total pride
-Favourite colour: PINK (girly yes) it's been lavender for the longest time but it's most due to the name..less the colour. White is nice..and hot pink sometimes ;)
-This past summer I went to Grenada and loved the Caribbean Ocean. It was the warmest (yet saltiest) water I swam in. I also thoroughly enjoyed snorkeling for the first time.
-Am a sucker for boots (I just LOVE boots) and PURSES (what is up with me and owning tons of them?!)
-ATTEMPTING to experiment on the eye-make up..going for the au-natural look but make-up is expensive so it's hard to experiment with (what if I buy something for tons of $$ and end up not using it cus I don't like it?)
-I am schedule to go to FLorida this december..am TOTALLY psyched for warm weather at this moment..and SUNSHINE finally!!
-My favourite holiday has to be Christmas...all the glamour and happiness..and just surrounded by the colour white (minus the slush) and all those holiday  music just totally gets me vamped up (you holiday crashers who told Shoppers Drugmart to take down Christmas music! Get in a festival spirit you grouches!)
-Oh did I tell you? I collect stationary. Oh I'm a nerd. I try out all the newest vampest stationary...for one I got shipped this new highlighter from Korea where when you use it, its actually like made of wax (crayon-like material) so it's glides on nicely n doesn't bleed through like ink. It's awesome..but it's hard to see exactly where you are highlighting...or the time when I went crazy over ink pens and highlighters that erase. And most pens are 0.7mm. but I have a collection of 0.5mm or 0.3mm! It just writes really nicely!! <--See? I'm obsessed.

OK today's blog is actually about FOOD
So over the past weeks I have been taking pictures of foods that I've been eating and since I keep forgetting to bloggggggg here is a collection of them:
I ate this for dinner: It's super easy pasta to make. I basically put whatever vegetable sauteed it..and then used a pasta salsa type..called SUN-DRIED TOMATO pesto. from the bran CLASSICO. After I sauteed the vegetables I wanted I threw in the sauce and basically tossed it with my noodles and sprinkled cheese (cheese makes a big diff). You can add meat to it..I left it vegetarian. with a side salad.

Here is another dinner. The chicken is kinda ripped cus I kept having to check if it was fully cooked (don't want no pink chicken!)  I thinly sliced the potatoes, drizzled it on with olive oil and salt and peppered it and then baked it in a toaster oven with marinated chicken. I marinted it with olive oil, bbbq sauce, ketchup, salt, pepper. and a whole load of salad

This was a breakfast food. I just ate a simple english muffin with fried egg/lettuce/ketchup and cheese.
Then my mom bought pinapple so I sliced some pineapple and ate it. Lately I've been trying to eat more fruit (apparently it's a luxury in Korea so I must take advantage of it)...I was never a fruit person. So the past couple days I've been on pomengrante. Noone eats them except me so it's taking me a couple days to devour it all. Does anyone know to cut them up properly? If I slice it with a knife, I end up cutting parts of the seeds and the juice all seeps everywhere..If I try to split it with my hands the seeds tend to fly everywhere upon my completion of split..O.o

This I had yesterday...YUM. My brother must have marinated the chicken..So i ate that as my meat portion..I love salad so I'm eating some greenery. Tofu (earth's meat) and potatoes that I baked (YUM) and KIMCHI..basically pickled cabbage that Korean people eat..My mom made a whole batch of them for the winter term and theyre super fresh so theyre really good! I'm not a craver of kimchi but when theyre fresh I want to take advantage of em..oh and I totally forgot..that black stuff? Theyre beans...My mom cooks it with soysauce and sugar n stuff ..makes it taste amaZINg!!

Here is the next food my mom made..actually I don't think she made it spicy enough..but it's a Korea dish called 'YUKGAEJANG" It's superbly YUMMY (perhaps one of my fav korean dishes)
It is beef, cabbage, egg, green onion, bean sprouts, onion and whatever yummy thing available)

Here is in my dish. OH it's super yummy. At my dad's request my mom made it. I always ask my mom to make it and she never makes it!

I stir-friend some rice..OMG I put too much of that TIKKI masala and totally ruined my meal..
I used indian rice aka Basmati Rice.
This time I added the soysauce to garlic, onion and corn and stir-fried it. then added the broccoli and rice..so you can tell it's not as brown (from the soysauce). I think it would've turned out really nicely if I hadn't pukered up the indian powder. xp. Oh I forgot. that yellow stuff? I added pinapples as we had a lot lying around..The pineapple really helped with the flvour to balance out the strong indian spice.

Here's a close-up..Next time either little on the indian spice or exempt it altogether..your choice!
Pineapple fried-rice!

Next on: BAKING!
I did tell you I am terrible baker...So I decided to cheat and buy a pre-mix (YUM but a lot of sugar I'd say...for now! UNTIL i become a baker!)
APPARENTLY (noone told me this on the internet google search) when you bake cupcakes You NEED to bake the cupcakes in a cupcake tray!!

AKA this:
Who knew?
I assumed the damn paper could hold the cupcakes up...
WOW (R YOU for real? You're a master's student?!!!)
:( Yes I told you I am a terrible baker...
So I just put the cupcake cups on a flat tray (no holes)
and they ozzed out as they cooked and stretched out the cups that was cooking in em
SO I got creative and took it all out of the paper cups and re-shaped them..aka:
TADAHH!

The best thing about my cupcakes were the icing!
I mixed up softened butter (eventually they softened up), cream cheese (oh the key flavour) and icing sugar (with a droplet of water) and scraped it into a plastic baggy. then cut a hold in it to decorate...
I put too much water in mine so I couldn't make them 3D unfortunately but..
creamcheese icing is my favourite kind of icing it tasted DELISH!

Here are the ones that turned out GOOD and didn't need cutting!

Heres my bite into one of them. It tasted really good! I will bake this again another time!
I wanted to bring one to my friend but my brother ate the rest -___-..and then he didn't even compliment on them! He was all 'well..they weren't even in the cupcake cups..you took em all out"..

Review of fast-food:

Mcdees has recently for a limited time you can get these things called McBITES.
I decided to try em out.
Personally. I think they are chicken nuggets split in half HAHAHA. Theyre not that cheap either for the number you get..You get it in this cute little box though...10 for around $5. if you make it a meal its like $2 more..I wasn't too full..maybe next time i'll go for teh 20 without the meal..

They also provided this hot habarnero sauce..which I assumed it (since it's a white franchise) to be white-spicy..for those of you who knwo what white-spicy means...it means it has a hint of spice but you can't really tell unless you think really HARD..but this was SPICY..it got my nose runny. I thoroughly enjoyed it..I mixed it with ketchup cus it's one the sweeter side (it lessened the spice)

In the plaza near my house there's a new pizza place that opened up..
it's actually AMAZING. I LOVED it. perhaps my favourite thus far.

It's quite pricey...approx $2/slice if you calculate it..I got a large and the dough is really chewy and crispy in all the right places..and the cheese is so good.
The meat they put on it slices of this spicy salami that really complimented the sun-dried tomatoes.
YUM

And finally...for those of you who have been keeping up with my blog:
I usually START with my outfits..but today I decided to END with mon daily clothes:

Here's two I had time to take pics of:

This is one outfit I took to school. If you're at school adn you've been sitting on your butt for longer than 2 hours your body heat starts to evaporate adn you can't produce your own heat anymore.. so I'm going for warmth. It's a weird colour mix..but for some reason I kinda like it HAHA

Cardigan: Lacoste
Button-up shirt: JoeFresh

Earrings: XXII

Yesterday was a beautiful day so I decided to wear out in a skirt =)
I contemplated on keeping this blouse because it was a little pricey for xxii. But whatevs I really think it's nice.  (shoes I wore ankle booties with heels) everyone around me is so tiny in my church I felt like a giant. LOL
Sheer black Blouse: XXII
Plain Longsleeve: GAP
Skirt: GAP
Belt: Prada
Tights: GAP?
Earrings: XXII

I honestly think the best place to shop for earrings is at XXII.
They've got the best selection for all styles AND they're massively cheap. I noticed that if your earrings aren't made of real metal (aka..gold, silver etc.) then a year later..no matter how favourite your earrings are theyre goign to RUST and you can't wear em anymore! =(
SOOOoooOO here are my newest collections...did I say I collect earrings? LOL..
(sorry for the terrible lighting! I told you  my world was dark!)

I was wearing bottom left on the first pic and on the second picture I am wearing the gold top earrings. Because the gold ones are bigger I wear it with my hair down. The black ones I like wearing it with my hair up because it's harder to see the black ones since my hair is naturally darker.
I hope you've thoroughly enjoyed my earrings and blog as much as I enjoy writing them!

My trend shows that I blog mostly about FOOD, CLOTHES/Fashion and my daily life of complaints LOL...
